Asbestos removal can cause chronic respiratory problems, increase risk of lung cancer and asbestos related diseases if not removed correctly under licenses conditions. With over 35 years of Demolition and Asbestos removal experience, Ward Demolition can ensure the safe removal of Asbestos.

Asbestos is more prevalent than most people realise. Under Asbestos Health and Safety Regulations 2016, any structure built before the year 2000 requires a full asbestos survey prior to any Demolition or Renovation. There is a duty of care required by building owners to make sure no one is exposed to it, including installers, renovators and demolition contractors. Ward Demolition offers everything from Licensed Asbestos Removal Surveys to Licensed Asbestos Removal and Disposal.

At Ward Demolition we treat asbestos with the respect its dangerous nature calls for.  Our founder Peter Ward was the president of the NZDAA (New Zealand Demolition and Asbestos Association), and asbestos removal is our speciality.

Even non friable asbestos can become friable.  If you’re dealing with asbestos, call in the experts.

ST STEPHEN’S SCHOOL ASBESTOS CLEAN UP

St Stephen’s school gymnasium was covered with asbestos roofing, and when it caught fire it contaminated the whole school. OSH (work Safe) closed the premises, and Ward Demolition was called into clean up the mess quickly and safely. Our team cleaned the buildings, roofs and gutters, along with the trees, grass and paths. We removed the fire damaged building, and the school was reopened in less than seven days.
